Option 2: You give us a brief and we’ll search the country for three handpicked options that match what you're looking for.

We know buying a boat can be a bit of a minefield we’ve done it many, many times, so we’ll arrange an independent survey on the final shortlisted vessel to make sure you're getting real value. You’ll have up to 60 days to make your decision.

Once the boat is chosen and signed off, we begin the design phase. The process is led by you, built by us around our signature aesthetic - soft tones, thoughtful storage, simple materials - while always keeping the boat’s character and budget in mind.

Everything is documented to ensure transparency, including a breakdown of costs to help keep things on track. Once complete, we’ll arrange delivery to your preferred location.

One of the big benefits of this process is that it’s much quicker than our past competitions.

After your boat is selected and surveyed, your makeover begins - no long queues or waiting lists. A full interior makeover takes around 6 weeks from delivery to completion. If you choose to add an exterior repaint, that will be managed separately by one of the UK’s top boat painters.

We only take on one makeover at a time, so you’ll have our full attention from start to finish.

Every makeover is slightly different, but here’s what you can expect:

• Full interior design in our signature style
• Fixtures, fittings, and finishes
• Light layout adjustments where needed (no major structural changes)
• Mechanical work if necessary
• Survey and delivery (all within the competition budget)

We believe in repair where possible, replace when necessary. The goal is to work with what’s already good and elevate it with care.

To keep things fair and clear:

• The winner must choose their boat within 60 days of the competition ending
• Boats must be purchased through the Marwood Makes Marketplace or, in rare cases, from the wider UK market
• The prize is not a cash award it’s ownership of a boat, either ready to go or customised
• A turnkey boat must cost at least £50,000 to ensure quality. Whatever is left, you pocket the cash!
• The makeover budget is drawn from the total £100,000 prize value
• First year’s licence and insurance is included
• Mooring access can be arranged at Lakeland Leisure (fees are not included)

This isn’t our first rodeo. Over the years, we’ve lovingly restored countless boats and we’re still at it.

This prize is unique to Marwood Makes, you simply will not find anything like this anywhere else.

It’s also our sixth boat competition, and just like the five before, it’s being delivered with the same care, detail, and heart that runs through everything we do.
