Happy New Year to you all. We had a lovely restful few weeks as a family whilst the kiddos were off school and playgroup capturing all the magical and priceless memories that come with little ones! As we dive into the new year, we have some exciting updates to share, a heartfelt thank you, and a sneak peek into what’s in store for 2024.
Festive reflections and new beginnings
Firstly, we express our gratitude for your patience as we bring you news about the year ahead. Behind the scenes, we’ve undergone a little reshuffle, and we’re thrilled to introduce our new tech-savvy team — Catherine and Vaughn. Not only are they good friends, but they’re also experts in marketing, ensuring that Marwood Makes is in excellent hands.
Our friendship first began when Catherine and Vaughn came to view a narrowboat we were selling in 2019. While Next Generation wasn’t the one for them, they embarked on new watery adventures with Myela and evolved into amazing friends and guide parents to our littlest, Ilda. They are extremely special to us and we couldn’t be more thrilled that they’ve joined our Marwood Makes family.
Competition countdown
As we step into 2024, we want to extend another big thank you for believing in us during our very first competition. Get ready, as very soon, we’ll be launching our first competition of the year—your chance to win the uniquely crafted Marwood Makes campervan, Jazz.
We’ve designed and created Jazz with light silky poplar, beautifully grained birch ply, and uncomplicated lines which culminates in a space that feels simultaneously effortless and practical. As it stands, this will be the only Marwood Makes campervan available to win which is pretty exciting, so stay tuned!
Summer Bee unveiling
Hot on the heels of Jazz we have the pretty Summer Bee, a 56ft narrowboat, which Jason is busily beavering away making beautiful by ticking off all requests and requirements on from a carefully curated list (written by me!). We are so, so excited to see the narrow come together and we know you will LOVE her.
Buckle up
But that’s not all—there are a couple of other opportunities up our sleeve that we’ll be revealing very soon. And for those who have been eagerly waiting, later in the year, we’ll once again give you the chance to win a bespoke, customized widebeam boat. We’ll also keep you updated on our previous winners, Louisa & Mike, and their wild prize. Teeny snippet: their hull build begins in mid-February!
